Interfaith Stewards
Blue Marble Media is at the forefront of sustainability education.
In cooperation with the City of Irving, Texas, Blue Marble Media developed Interfaith Stewards, a non-denominational project focusing on our relationship with the Earth and how to decrease our impact on the environment.
Through 14 modules, members of the faith-based community learn about and complete activities for:
- sustainability
- energy conservation
- water conservation
- recycling
- composting
- vermicomposting
- landscaping
- green housekeeping
- gardening
- renewable energy
- green living
- buying green
- buying local
- green finance
The project also enlists benchmarking systems and a Website for participating faith groups to discuss successes, pitfalls, questions and solutions.
It is designed to enlighten, educate and change the habits of not only congregants, but also those who oversee the church facilities and systems.
