NTCRA hosts Business Recycling Workshop on July 20
 

cullet in gaylordsOn Friday, July 20, the NTCRA will host a half-day Business Recycling Workshop at Grand Prairie's City Hall.

Do you have clients – or prospective clients – who would like more information on starting or enhancing their business recycling program? Be sure they know about this workshop. The City of Grand Prairie’s Solid Waste and Economic Development Divisions are targeting local business such as printers, manufacturers, retailers, institutions, and other small business as workshop participants.

The workshop is designed to explain commercial recycling options and provide resources and tools to help business owners and managers implement successful and money-saving recycling programs.

NTCRA has put together a panel to discuss the challenges that some companies face when recycling. The panel includes representatives from the following organizations:

Workshop topics will include:
  • waste stream education
  • recycling with property management & custodial staffs
  • business recycling resources
  • industry issues and challenges
  • pollution prevention
  • electronics recycling

Participants are encouraged to bring samples or pictures of materials and dock space issues. Together, our goal is to find solutions and share experiences to create viable business recycling programs.
